"Whoever said the best part of pregnancy is eating for two has never experienced shopping for two." - Pregnancy Humor.
Pregnancy is wonderful and miraculous, and it often leads to another 'P' word - purchasing. As you ponder over the changes in your life and make a checklist about the mandatory purchases like a new crib or a stroller, do not forget the little things that could make your life easier during the pregnancy. In this blog, we will discuss some of the pregnancy products that you can invest in to make your pregnancy comfortable and enjoyable.

As your pregnancy progresses, it can be difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position. Doctors usually recommend sleeping on your sides, but during the second and third trimester, even that can get uncomfortable. That's where a pregnancy body pillow comes to the rescue. These pillows provide support to the hips, back, and legs. They can also reduce pressure on your joints.
During the first trimester of pregnancy, your breasts will grow at least by one cup size. Your breasts may become heavy and sore and will continue to grow throughout your pregnancy. Hence, choose good-quality maternity bras that are well-fitted and comfortable. After delivery, you'll require a nursing bra to breastfeed your baby.
Doctors usually prescribe prenatal vitamins during pregnancy because it can be difficult to obtain all the required nutrients from food alone. As the baby grows, there is an increased need for vitamins and minerals, such as folic acid, iron, and calcium. But food aversions and morning sickness can make it hard to eat a balanced diet. The prenatal vitamins may vary according to your health condition and pregnancy trimester.
As your stomach stretches and grows, your skin may turn dry and itch. Most women may also get stretch marks. There's no proof that creams or cocoa butter can reduce the stretch marks. But using a good moisturizer can ease itching and soothe dry skin. Most over-the-counter moisturizers are safe to use during pregnancy, but you can check with your doctor if required.
Pregnancy can put a lot of strain on your body. And as your pregnancy progresses, the blood circulation to your hands and feet can decrease. Thus, massaging your hands and feet with oil or lotion can regulate blood circulation and relieve stress. Traditional oils such as coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, and mustard oil are used for prenatal massages.
Each week of your pregnancy will be different, and your body will grow and change in many new and exciting ways. However, sometimes it can all be confusing and stressful. It's common to have numerous questions about what is happening to your body. And in such confusing times, a good pregnancy book can act as a trustworthy pregnancy guide.

As your belly grows, you may experience back pain, sacroiliac joint pain, hip and abdomen soreness. Using a belly supportive band or belt can provide relief from these symptoms. The band prevents the belly from drooping and supports the back. These are especially useful at the end of the second trimester or the start of the third trimester when the abdomen becomes large and prominent.
Your body is going to undergo major changes, and you'll eventually outgrow your regular clothes. With a wide range of maternity clothes available these days, it can be tempting to buy a whole new wardrobe, but that's unnecessary. Depending on your style and comfort, you can invest in maternity dresses, jeans, or sweat pants. Remember that you will need your maternity pants even after your baby is born, so buy a few solid and comfortable pairs of pants.
Your feet are likely to get bigger during pregnancy. Your old shoes may become tighter during your pregnancy. So, it's a good idea to buy a pair of comfortable and flat shoes. Wearing heels during pregnancy is not recommended as they can increase the chances of a fall.
It's common to get acne during the early stages of your pregnancy. During pregnancy, the hormone levels fluctuate, leading to several breakouts. Using a mild, oil-controlling face wash and moisturizer can ease inflammation caused due to acne. However, your skin will clear up as soon as your hormone levels stabilize.
